1 + 1 (+ 1) is the fourth episode of Season 4 in Glee: A New Beginning. It aired on September 17, 2013. It was written by ArpickgLeeker.
Plot[]
The episode starts with the New Directions in the Choir Room waiting for Will and Sue. Mickey, They were supposed to be here five minutes ago! Nerissa, Maybe they died. Everybody stare at Nerissa really scared as she says, Or something not so sad? Abi, We have Cheerios rehearsal. Courtney, But Sue is not going to be there. Abi, I hate that lady! Suddenly they hear that there was music coming from the outside. Some seconds later Sue and Will were getting inside with a stereo and dressed with fancy yet disco clothes. They start singing as Will puts the stereo on the piano.
Will and Sue:

Daniel,And at the end we do a solo and two group numbers. Sue, Not this year! Abi, So this is a real competition? Will,Sure it is! Austynn, Can we choose our partners or... Sue, You'll have to guess the number I'm thinking of. Katie, Explain yourself. Sue, I'll think of two numbers and the ones that guess them will be partners. Nerissa, We're going to lose SO MUCH time! Will, Let's start! Sue, Which numbers I'm I thinking of? From one to ten. Abi, Five?! Daniel, Three? Mickey, Seven? Landon, Nine! Sue, Mickey and Landon, you are the first couple. Mickey, Yes! Mickey and Landon high five as Will says, My turn. Guess! Courtney, Two? James, Four? Will, Courtney and James you're the second couple. Courtney, That's new! James, Totally! The kids keep on guessing until they all had a couple. Go and work on your duets! Abi, Yeah! The kids get out of the classroom as the bell rings.

Later, Aaliyah and Landon were walking with their babies on arms by the hallways. Abi and Courtney then joined them. Courtney, What are the babies doing here? Aaliyah, Their babysitter quit because her boyfriend left to Ireland and she wants to follow him or something like that. Abi, But is it okay for them to be here? Landon, We talked with Principal Figgins about it and he said it was okay for today. Courtney, Do you have any ideas for your duets already? Aaliyah, Austynn wants me to meet him at his house today to talk about it. Landon, I'm going to Mickey's house too. Courtney, Me and James already thought about one. Abi, Ariana and me too! Aaliyah, This is going to be a really interesting competition. Landon, Yeah! Courtney, And what about the play? Have you thought of which roles do you want? Landon, Any role will do good for me. Aaliyah, For me too. Abi, I won't be in the play this year. Courtney, Why?! Abi, I didn't want CATS to be the musical. Aaliyah, But it is a really amazing musical. Abi, But I wanted to do South Park! Aaliyah, Landon and Courtney stare at Abi as Landon asks, South Park? Abi, Yeah! Didn't you see what they did with Elementary School Musical?! It was epic! Aaliyah, I don't think it is a good idea... Abi, You know what? I'm going to make a strike until they make South Park this year's musical! Abi leaves very frustrated as Courtney says, It is going to be really funny to see that strike! Landon, I hope it is not today, we won't be able to watch with the babies here. Aaliyah, Yeah. I bet there is going to be a lot of violence. They keep walking as the bell rings.
Later, Katie and Olivia were at the girls' bathroom. They were talking about their duets as Nerissa gets in. Nerissa, Hello, sexy girls! Katie, Hey! Olivia, Hi. Nerissa, How are Mickey's crushes doing? Katie, Excuse me? Nerissa, Mickey has a crush on both of you. Doesn't he? Olivia, No, he just likes Katie. She is his true love. Katie, That's sweet. Some seconds later Rose gets in as she says, You're a total bitch! Nerissa, Thank you? Rose, She was on the edge of tears. Nerissa, That's cool because I want to destroy her! Rose, So you really like Mickey? Nerissa, Yeah. And I think I have a plan. You dislike Olivia, right? Rose, I dislike everyone, but yes. Nerissa, Well, I need your help. Rose, You can count on me. They walk out of the bathroom as the scene ends.
The next scene shows Olivia and Declan walking out of a classroom. Declan, So she likes Mickey? Olivia, I guess. She's really weird. Declan, REALLY weird. Olivia, I feel bad for Katie. She's having this eating disorder thing and now there is Nerissa. Declan, She'll get over it. And now that we bring the topic into conversation, how's your crush going? Olivia, I'm almost over it. Declan, I'm glad to hear that. I'm having a really great time being your friend. Olivia, Me too. Declan, Have you thought of any interesting song for our duet? Olivia, I think I have one. Declan, Is it by Taylor Swift? Olivia, Yeah. Declan, I'm okay with it. Olivia, We should get together in my house to rehearse it. Declan, I love the idea. I'll see you there at six. Olivia, Sure! Harrison closes his locker and he leaves Declan alone. Declan smiles and keeps walking to the other way.
That night, Landon and William were at Mickey's house. Landon, You have a nice house. Mickey, Thank you.This is the only thing I got from my father. Landon, What happened to him? Mickey, I don't know. He supposedly had another woman who had a baby at the same time my mom had me and he just disappeared. Landon, That sucks. Mickey, I know, but I don't really care about him. And I told Katie all of that thing of me having a crush on you just for her to prepare for Olivia. Mickey, But you don't like Olivia. Nerissa, That's just acting! Mickey, What should I do? Meanwhile, Austynn was in his locker trying to take out some of his books, but everything inside of it falls. Austynn was about to pick them as Harrison got by and said, I'll do it for you! Austynn, Who is it? Harrison (while standing with Austynn's books), It's me, Harrison! Austynn, Oh! Thank you! Is that I'm not used to your voice or smell yet.Harrison, It's ok. Austynn, Since when the quarterback helps the blind guy? Harrison, If you want me to throw your things to the floor again, I'll do it. Austynn, No, no! Don't get me wrong. Is that you're pretty bipolar. Harrison, How? Austynn, You were mean as hell and now you're kind. Harrison, You guys can make someone change for good. Austynn, That's our job here. Meanwhile, Abi was at Figgins' office with Will and Sue. Sue, This is the biggest stupidity EVER! Will, You want to do South Park? Abi, Everybody loves South Park! We could make the biggest show ever! Figgins, I don't think that performing cartoon songs is a good idea! That's why we decided to do a musical about cats! Abi, And what's the difference?! Sue, Everything is different! Will, Abi, I've always agreed with you in all your crazy yet interesting ideas, but I can't agree with this. Abi, I thought you were going to understand Mr. Schue! Will, I do, but I can't help you. I'm sorry. Abi, Just so you know, I already called all the people from the South Park forum on Facebook! And they are all coming here for the strike! Sue, Oh my God! Figgins, Tell them I'll be happily waiting for them here! Abi, You better bet your butt I will! Abi leaves really angry Figgin's office leaving Will, Sue and Figgins really surprised and shocked.
Later, Olivia was walking towards the library as she runs into Rose. Rose, Hey gurl! Olivia, What? Rose, You're supposed to answer: Hey gurl! Olivia, Are you drunk or something? Rose, No, I'm being friendly! Olivia, What do you want? Rose, Well, someone asked me to do him a favor. Olivia, Who and what? Rose, I can't tell you who. All the kids were there and Courtney and James were in the front ready to perform.

Then the scene cuts to Olivia and Mickey walking inside the Auditorium. Olivia, You? Mickey, Me! Olivia, What are you doing here? Mickey, I guess that the same you're doing here. Olivia, I'm confused. Mickey, So am I. Olivia, What happened with Katie? Mickey, She needs time. And I can't wait. Mickey gets close to Olivia and he kisses her. Mickey, I seriously can't wait. Olivia, That was... it was... I have to go. Olivia starts walking out of the Auditorium as Mickey shouts, You should give me and you a chance! You're not going to regret this! Olivia touched her lips and then she smiled as she walks out the Auditorium. Mickey, Now I'm more confused! Agh! Sometimes I HATE girls! After thinking about what he said for a while. Mickey, No, no, no. I ALWAYS love girls! The scene ends as Mickey laid on the floor.
The next day, Daniel and Trey were arguing in the hallway. Trey, I want to do Usher! Daniel, And I don't! Wouldn't you like to get out of your confort zone?! I've sang from Muse to Blondie to Barbra Streisand! And I've killed each and every song. Trey, Are you saying that I just can sing black people songs? Daniel, Kind of! Trey, That's racist! Daniel, I was not the one who used the word black. Trey, Ok! We'll do the song you want! Daniel, Ok! We'll do Bon Jovi! Trey, Ok! I'll prove you I'm better than you in every single way! Daniel, I dare you! Trey, More than a duet it will be a sing off! Daniel, Our personal competition. I like it! Trey, You should better prepare. The next scene starts with the bell ringing. The hallways were full of students. Olivia was walking with Declan to the Choir Room. Declan, So he kissed you? Olivia, Yeah! I've never been kissed before! Declan, Well, maybe you should stop shouting it out loud. Olivia, I'm sorry. Is that it felt good. Declan, You could've start a make out session right there and you didn't! Olivia, Declan, it was my first kiss! Declan, My first kiss was also my first time. Olivia, You're different. I'm shy as hell. Declan, And I'm a promiscuous boy. That is SO different! Olivia, It is! Declan, Chill out! And what are you going to do about it? Olivia, I don't know. But you should appreciate every single second of what is happening now. Suddenly, Jordin was walking next to them as she says, We are late for Glee! Declan, Yeah! Let's walk faster.
Some minutes later all the kids, except for Abi and Katie, were in the Choir Room. Sue, Ok! So who are the next losers to perform? Trey, Daniel and I would like to perform! Will, That's great! Show us what you got! Daniel, But before we start we want to tell you that Trey and I decided to turn our duet into a sing off between the both us. Courtney, Oh my God... Sue, That means you're out of the original competition? Trey, I guess we are. Sue, Which are the rules? Trey, The one that sings better wins! Sue, That's all? Daniel, Yeah. That's what a sing off is about. Will, Ok. Let's waste no more time and hit it! The music starts as Daniel and Trey walk to the middle of the Choir Room.
